Foil paper on Christmas Card

Framed Ornament

Merry Christmas to you! I know it's only November but it hard not to get into the Christmas spirit when uploading Christmas cards.
This pretty ornament image is from the "Delightful Decorations" stamp set from Stampin' Up. Available in the 2012/13 Catalog and found Here. The embossing was done with the " Northern Flurry" folder also available from SU. I used foil wrapping paper to create the sparkly border. I like to stock up on foil paper after Christmas when I can get it for a good price. I recommend gluing the foil onto card stock to stiffen it before using. By itself I find it too flimsy to work with. I love the "bling" effect it gives to my cards.

  1. Hun, For a beginner your blog looks really great!
    There are lots of tutorials online on how to build up your blog or on how to get better traffic. just Google or Bing it and you shall find the information you need. The information is just sitting out there for you to find it.

    You currently have the easiest blogging engines out there right now. SO I think I would stick with it. It is the same one I use myself :o).

    The card looks gorgeous by the way!
    Take care and have a great day! {{{hugz}}}

  2. Wow, this is stunning! I actually have some cardstock that looks like that foil background...that I've been saving for...oh...about 12 years until I had the perfect use for it! Now I have it! Thanks Laurie! Very inspiring!

  3. Love that shiny border look. I just love foil, and I do remember that it was YOU who recommended to glue it to cardstock before using, which was a terrific idea, and a "duh" moment for me, after so much frustration. I have had excellent luck since, BTW. LOL Keep those wonderful tips coming! Card is absolutely gorgeous. You are very talented, thanks for sharing. LOL Lovely blog, also.

  4. Love the 'bling'. I remember taking your advice on buying shiney paper after Christmas last year...now I have to remember where I put it. This card has inspired me to dig it out and try to use it. I only wish I was as creative as you.
